The Culm Valley Mission Community
The Culm Valley Mission Community includes the parishes of Kentisbeare, Blackborough, Willand and Uffculme.
Willand has a primary school and three preschools. Our Rector is vice chair of the governing body. The church has a parish hall used by Rockers toddler group and Messy Church.
Kentisbeare's CoE school and preschool have a strong relationship with the church
St Mary's Uffculme is actively involved in the local community which includes a secondary school, primary school and two preschools. It owns Square Corner - a community hub, runs a weekly prayer group and has a team of volunteers who help run outreach programs.
Reach Project Strategy
We need to be church in a way that families understand and can access, whilst acknowledging that this is unlikely to be as part of the current regular Sunday morning worship.

Outcomes
An increased number of weekly contacts with children and families. Increase in the requests for baptism/thanksgiving services. Increased engagement with family friendly services.
New expressions of church developing across the Mission Community. Reaching and engaging with local families and deepening relationships with churches. Opportunities to share good practice across villages and share resources to grow the Kingdom.
The existing church becomes more representative of the community it serves and the community learns to see itself in the church.
